January 28, 2026Pests are pretty much like us; like most living organisms come to that.
We all need three things to sustain life.
We need a food supply. Put simply, without sustenance we die.
We need shelter; a safe place to live. A place where we feel comfortable; most likely within a community, where we can survive, thrive and reproduce.
We need protection from predators. We need to keep ourselves out of harms way from those with desires to cause us pain or even kill us.
When it comes to dealing with pests, it’s useful to look at these three things in reverse order.
As a pest controller, I am the one that has the desire to cause pests distress or to kill them. That’s my job.
I am the one that aims to disrupt their safe place, make them uncomfortable and disrupt their community. That’s also my job.
You however, are the one responsible for providing their food supply. Like it or not, unless you remove their food supply, my job becomes challenging and drawn-out. Why? Because, even if I eradicate the pest, the problem will come back; that which attracted the pest in the first place will be equally attractive to others with similar appetite.
When pests show up unexpectedly, time is critical. When you contact me I can respond rapidly and resolve any issue quickly to minimize stress, property damage, and health risk. I’ll handle the issue discreetly to protect your reputation and can reassure you the specialist treatments I deploy, although not available to the general public for lawful reasons, are safe for pets, children, and the environment.
If we work together, I can give you effective pest removal with real-time prevention advice for you to deploy in order to minimise recurrence and keep your environment safe and healthy.
My name is Ian Thomas – a long-time member of the British Pest Control Association and a Bristol City Council approved pest controller for over twenty years.
